This is the first Donkey that John and Claire owned. Appropriately named
"Claire-A-Bell", she was a beautiful, kind, loving and very hardworking donkey.
Claire-A-Bell was used primarily to carry the camping gear up long mountain trails when
the Conter family went camping, staying for three to four days in the gorgeous mountains
of Montana. |
 |
These two donkeys are the worlds only known registered "Twin" Spotted Asses.
They were foaled at Conter's Spotted Ass Ranch at Pompey's Pillar, MT. |
 |
Donkeys make great pack animals. They can carry loads up to 200 pounds and are very
sure footed on mountain trails. They are especially good if you are walking and leading
the donkey up the trail since they walk at about the same speed as a person walks. |

If
you would like to show off your SPOTTED ASS, I would be glad to add your
pictures to the "Photo Album" collection. Please send me a good photo (as you can see,
shadows don't like scanners) along with the name of the donkey. If you know the Sire and
Dam you can also include their names as well. email me (don't forget to attach the photo) at:
There also is a page that advertises Donkeys, Mules, or Hinnies
for sell or trade. If you would like to list your animal for
sell/trade, send me a good photo (or a
scanned photo on disk) along with the essential information.
